New Aero ANJ4-long or short zipper?

Folks,

Really thinking about pulling the trigger on a new Aero Anj4. Pretty sure I'll get the jacket done in seal brown with seal brown trim, but am agonizing about whether to get the long or short zipper . I will wear it while driving quite often, seems like the short zipper may be preferable while sitting. Any opinions as to the right choice? Also, do the Aero ANJ4's fit true to size? I fit very well into my Aero 42-18775-P A2 and wear a 46 in most other jackets, so would be inclined to order a 46.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Get a tailor to measure you and then speak with Aero . Fact + Makers input should work fine first time .

Have a look at the jacket owned by Sloane over on TFL. Seal brown, with seal goatskin facings, short zip iirc. The stitching is a contrast russet rather than the od green, one of the best jackets I have seen.

I find the short zip jackets are less convenient than the full length ones. The buttons are difficult to fasten so is the zip. The wider leather panel also looks less attractive.

i think the longer zip version is the better looker.. aero will also add snaps instead of pocket buttons which i think is a good look..

I would go with John's recommendation ,I bet he has owned both types and lived with both types .

Just thought I'd toss my tuppence-worth in: I have the long zip, purely for aesthetic reasons as I prefer it over the buttons.

Maybe a question asked a few times here already, and sorry if I ask again, who makes the most authentic (by all details) looking AN-J-4 jacket?
I will pull the trigger on one quite soon.
Thanks for your feedback.

I am certain Aero has a great craftmanship, but how about the metalware? especially the lower end of the Talon?
See the borrowed photo from the Aero website.
I am after authenticity.
If Aero will be ordered, which version?
Thanks a lot.
Best

Copied from an original Anj4 in their collection.
Sorry John, what is copied? the low end of the zipper? or the jacket?
The zipper worries me a bit.
If the jacket, which Aero version is the most accurate regarding authenticity?
Many thanks for your time.
