Some skulls and bones...

Hello

Though I'm not a patches collector, I can share with you some which are sewn (or not!) on flight suits and jackets in my flightgears collection. Here are some of them relatives to USN "Jolly Rogers" squadrons from post ww2 and Vietnam.

First, this one which certainly saw Panther with VF-61 about 1953.

Certainly the first version of VF-84 when flying Crusader.

And two Vietnam era VF-84.

Yeah , most have just the skull in the design, but some of them are full skeletons or partial , but all are cool designs that have a little of both . and these except for a few are just WW2 era ones, I didn't even do the more recnt types ............................

Thank you Johnny. A lot of work, I guess!

I already was knowing "Oscar" which was the 13th BS skeleton "grim repear" emblem. I'm going to see the others.

Hey Franck, not too much work to list them, it was more work originally finding the "images" I copied into my file albums , many years of research into WW2 USAAF/USN/USMC insignias and still finding more to ID and or find colors/details to,but a Very fascinating and ongoing hobby I never tire of !

Enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Johnny, if you are including full skeletons, don't forget the 508th Fighter Squadron!
Yeah , that's one of them , I didn't list that one as it's one that's fairly well known and "officially approved" , I like to list more of the ones you don't always here about or were "Unoffficial" and used anyway , not all of them were but a good amount of them were!

Hey franck, sorry ,I wish I could , but not being very computer savy yet I haven't learned the ways of copying/loading photos yet .

Most of the emblems I listed you can find under the various sites ,or unit reunion notices, they have historians that can help or the sites have them shown on their pages , That is how I found a lot of them .

Try these .............................
