"Mall Patch"

We all poke fun at the "Mall Jacket" Well here's my newest I call ACES HIGH, a mall patch :D Not a real squadron but I believe it was the insignia for an engineering unit at some point. Anyway, they're selling like hotcakes, so thumbs up to the mall jacket. I'd bet a months pay that more of them have sold than the dead on accurate replicas. Hell, I'm even gonna add a new twist to some Tuskegee stuff for the mall rats, their money is as green as mine.

I think you may have talked about this on a military forum, I tried to research briefly when I got the request an found it was an actual insignia, but for an engineering unit. Anyway, the guy who ordered this patch initially was undecided as to how he wanted the cards arranged, so I made the parts for several. He was happy with the first patch so I put all together the same way and they were gone in a day. Just put up two more yesterday and woke up to a ching! ching! My Iphone is set to ching whenever something sells and sure enough, both bought by the same guy. Also got the Tuskegee patch is done, the one with a little of my artistic influence to see if all of those movie goers are into it. Will post a pic shortly once I get to the shop.

Here's the Tuskegee patch, figure is larger an normal and the entire design is done in multi-piece leather. This patch making method was done in the MTO on a very limited basis as I've seen only one example of another unit that I can remember. But, it makes for a very cool looking design anyway. And for those who prefer a more historically accurate patch, here's an incised almost ready for paint.

You had one on ebay a couple of weeks ago, I almost bought it but the next day the listing had finished as it was gone.
I hesitated because I felt it just a tad to be OTT, then thought it to be a cool one, well let's buy one and see how it looks for real. Not after it currently, something else in the pipe line.

Wife just finished stitching up a handful of these so they'll be available, all is well in the pipe line. Give me a few days and I'll have something to see.

Whenever I wear one of my A-2s painted with the logo, "Go For Broke", someone always asks if I'm a gambler...
If I had one of these sewn on the front, they'd be totally convinced I was headed for a casino.

Got a bunch more up tonight, can't believe it's so popular. Lots on new customers grabbing them with no military background in their feedback so it's possible they're card players. Who knows??????? And check out the POLLY PENN oil can, ever see one of these grab it. I just thought it looked cool and bought for 2 bucks and turns out one sold recently on Ebay for 400-
