How to OR Can someone repair my B4 case

I recently bought a nice named Type B4 case . unfortunateley probably while in transit ,it was stacked upon by somthing heay and the box was crushed and split the top leather reinforcing strip from the canvas. It seems to have just split the stitches and none of the material .
any help at all please , so i can get this back to what it should look like .

Carl i’d give it to a pro - if not restored professionally you’ll destroy the value of such a nice specimen

I could do that no problem and use the same stitch holes. Unfortunately we are on wrong sides of the pond.

Make sure it's done by hand, that's the only way to ensure all the original stitch holes are retained, not just those on the exterior
