I don't believe it's a genuine approval tag. Same way Fitzwell Sportswear had original looking tags but with "Original Type" on the label and some of the 50's B-15 copies had AAF stencils.

Yeah, I didn't bother to read on in the USMF thread this was featured in, modern repop patch and misleading tag. Oh well, thought it was interesting and good to publish here anyway to keep future mistakes at a minimum.
