Haven't handled an original A-3 lid in a while but the Buzz A-3 looks pretty good IMHO. The HBT is well done the the cut forms well to my lid. I get lots of strange looks rocking the turned up bill but who cares!

GREAT caps. I have had a mash 7 1/4 for twelve years. LOTS of blood, sweat and tears involved in the regular
wear over that time. Highly durable when compared to sports caps etc.

Here is my MASH next to my NOS ELC A-3. Have a MASH A-3 in the box too, as a reserve for the wearer..

HBT is a light shade, almost white....

I generally roll up the brim when I wash it. The ELC has never been worn/rolled. The MASH one is used to it
and holds 'the look' well.

Boyo, I should do a pic of my ravaged QMI A-3, but I'm too ashamed to show it... :p

Get lots of odd looks too with the snapped up bill of my A-3's and N-3, but I don't give a crap about it!

£80 for a BR - WTF ........ my dad was a welder & used to make his own “Cromer” caps out of outrageous curtain material. Similar pattern. Cost pennies.
80 freakin quid o_O
Is the closeness to an original really worth the 3 fold cost over other repro makers ? How does one quantify relative costs of makers versus authenticity ?
80 quid ..... that would feed a tribe of Somalies for a year.
In the age or “Wokedness”, we should all be buying cheap and giving the difference to charity.
Or maybe caps will follow the jacket trend of last year- a race to the bottom / cheapest being lauded

Original A-3 caps used to be run of the mill and cheap pickings, here is one of the last minty ones I had ....well it was minty until they scuffed it taking it off the display mannequin and packing it for return along with a load of other gear of mine.

Another time, another place..

I'm sure this is going to e a daft question ;) but is there a way the brim should be rolled to get that cool look? Or just roll it?..cheers Chris

I got an Eastman a couple months ago. I was a bit curious about the A-3. The construction is really well done but I have never owned an original, so I cannot do a proper comparison. As a side note, they are true to size. Perhaps I should order a 7 1/2 since I currently have long hair (it’s actually cheaper than getting a haircut...) :D

Here are some pics. I hope they are useful!
