Eastman Irvin Shearling Care - Help!

I conditioned the hide on a very dry Eastman Irvin and now the jacket's outer shell coloring is rubbing off onto the shearling collar's edge. Is there anyway to clean the shearling? Also, is there a way to clean off the oily leather cleaner on the jacket's outer shell?
I hope is didn't ruin it.
Thank you!

Hi Andy. If the color is starting to rub off that probably means that the protective top coat has broken down. It eventually happens to older jackets. Out of curiosity, what product did you use to condition it? If you have a thick build up of Pecards, Sno-seal, or Mink Oil, you could try using a saddle soap to break it down and help wipe it off more easily. I have tried that in the past and it helped. I'm not sure about removing the dye from the shearling, though.

Hopefully, that helps you.

The edge is darker, but if you can't see it, great!

If you can see it, your standing too close to me. lol!

Actually, I used Eucalan wash and that really helped.

Thank you guys.
