Recently got into flight sim and somehow ended up flying mostly German warbirds. Due to this I came to learn more about the Luftwaffe and now wonder what the best option is on the market for a repro Hartmann jacket that's not over 600 euro (i.e. definitely not Eastman)? Cheers!
This is for Denmark to Central Europe:
- The ANJ-3 I ordered took almost 2 weeks to process and arrived in 4 days once I received the tracking number.
- The M422a I ordered took 1 day to process and arrived 3 days once I received the tracking number.
For ANJ-3 I didn't find that to be an issue...
Don't have a photo but ordered and I'm wearing the ANJ-3 jacket size 44 from AVI Leather today. What a perfect spring/autumn jacket! @Brettafett Thanks for your review which led me to the jacket.
The sheepskin is lighter in weight compared to my M422A's. The look of it feels right for the WW2...
Wearing my Willis & Geiger M422A made by Steve. It's been over 3 years since I acquired this jacket. Other jackets come and go, but this one stays and is worn always.
If you see this, Steve, greetings and hope you're doing well.
Wearing my W&G M422A made by Steve Sellers. My two M422A jackets made by Steve and Dave are the best jackets I own and honestly the only I wear nowadays :)
@stanier Hi Chris! Dave and I worked on a custom sizing so that the jacket fits me well. If I'm not wrong, almost everything is the same as a standard size 40 from Dave's original except for the sleeves, which are tailored to my arm length. I'm sure an ANJ-3A with Dave will be great (isn't there...
Just returned from vacation. Attaching a few images of the jackets here (incl. a poor selfie). A review for this jacket is planned. But you already know my verdict: If we grade the jacket on a scale from 1 to 10, its grade is a 20.
Having just received one of Dave's Sheeley-made jackets today, let me just say that this jacket is the single best jacket I've owned on every dimension (fit, leather, mutton, zipper, etc.). The 12 months in between was completely worth the wait. I'd even wait 24 months or 36 months for it. I...
If you see Bill Kelso as the Tesla roadster with J.A. Dubow the cheaper Model 3 spin-off as a top-down luxury to mass model, then Fivestar Leather is the buttom-up disrupter that satisfies consumers' desire to play with jackets at scale. Plenty examples in other industries where such disrupters...
