It is all goat, I think JC sources Indian goatskin. It has a decent heft and does soften with wear, even though I have little opportunity to wear leather jackets these days.
I like Cossack leather jackets, I have a few but my GW two-tone goatskin is probably my favorite. I think if fits pretty well, and the leather is fairly light weight.

I was recently surprised to be the recipient of yet another GW A-2. This Bronco is a test jacket made of a light russet aniline cowhide with a vintage finish that I am told is lighter than original A-2s, but will darken with wear.

I am massively impressed as well. It is fun to learn about all the subtile differences between these two contracts, but the color and grain of that Italian horsehide really stands out and is just wonderful. I bet it looks pretty good in seal also. :-)
