I have had great results with Lexol PH balanced leather cleaner. I have removed heavy tobacco odor with it. Do small sections at a time. If the leather is really dry, be careful because the water will soak in like a sponge. Have one wet rag with soap on it, another wet rag for wiping the soap...

Speaking from my own personal experience, The G&F M-422A is the only one I have seen with the wider pocket and stiched pencil pocket. Just what I have seen, I didn't do any research.

I was handed down this on father's day. Dad said it was bought in the 60's but the zipper is a 1950's Conmar track. I don't know the date of the Conmatic puller.

I have found it to be not that simple in trying out different sizes with G&B. You can't just go down a size because all of the proportions are not a full size smaller. It is a good thing that they have Short and Tall options because this gives you a better chance of finding a good fit. Then...

I had a cockpit G-1 like pictured above. I can assure you that the jacket is not up to the current specs, or any specs for that matter. The sizing is too big for it's marked size and the proportons are off. Also the zipper hardware is cheap and a poor imitation of the "paper clip" style puller...

Looks to me like a Dubow. The collar appears too pointy for a Star.
