And... Well, to each his own. I don't mean you guys specifically, but I happen to like the jacket Mr. Ford is wearing. That's why I mentioned "for his age",...and I'm headed there also. I'm not 20 years old anymore, and my "quest" for the perfect A-2 began in the 1970's when there weren't any...

That's probably it. You can't see the other sleeve in the AA magazine cover picture..... He probably got it in the EAA store ( Young Eagles promoter),AOPA, or Sporty's Pilot Shop or similar......

May not be a G&B...notice the snap here: Looks like some other "oversized mall jacket", which is what you would expect for someone his age.. Side entry, roomy front pockets, oversized roomy fit, probably a zip out liner and inside pockets as well. I'd like to get one just like this!

Cheeses...some wank pinched a magazine off a flight and is sellng it on eBay... :roll: There was a whole pallet of these at work for the cabin crews to put in all the seat back pockets.....

FYI- That is one of those "Aero Indian Goatskin" A-2's. IMHO I found it to be the worst Aero I ever purchased.... it's a "pass". Also, they were sold for $300-$350 at the most when new.

That's what I was looking for....This jacket will be a beater, so I'm not willing to spend a lot. We were kinda supposed to trade for an A-2 I had that was a bit small, and now it and the G-1 are in his closet......

I've seen that-however he does not evaluate or give much info on the 1970's and up jackets, and the site has not been updated in a while.

Friend has a military issue Navy G-1 in my size for sale.... He says it is mint/like new, made in 1975 and the maker is Imperial Leather and Sportswear. What can anyone tell me about this maker/value? (I'm G-1 ignorant) :oops:
