    German WW2 shearling vest

I'm aware of these Dany, you can share with other users, in general I find all furry stuff a bit boring, even these used by SS ;) I'm sure that you know this reference https://www.kriegsberichter-archive.com/ you can find there some über rare examples of variegated leaf smocks in use (just few...

    What have I done?

I'm not sure if this jacket has a goat hide or horse hide. This G1 in seal brown has very subtle grain and it is thicker. Facture of hide reminds me this one, also in horse hide, just it is very dark. sorry for a bit off topic here.

Are you referring to a similar fur jacket which Max Wünsche wore or something collarless?

    What have I done?

Hey Ritchy, indeed a bit close, just seal brown as far as I spotted has some almost black tint. I spotted this on one jacket from Korean war era, started restoration but during a warmer months there are a lot of better activities than working on jacket restoration ;)

    What have I done?

I was able to see in person 3 G&F in a very good condition. These were comparably very dark. Currently own just one in very good condition and it has a very dark hide interesting to see your opinions regarding G&F hide color.

    German WW2 shearling vest

Yep, these so called "private purchased" ones were often made in Ghettos or companies from GG by force labourers. It is easy to trace items made for example at Litzmannstadt (for example late war production Knocked sack's with these markings. At some fabric mills fabrics for LW and KM were...

Looking for a genuine G-1 + cuffs and waitband issues

Good advice Brett, however replacing knits and zipper is not a rocket science in my opinion. Sorry Peter, I haven't spotted that a knitted sleeve cuff has an issue - still it is a great wearable jacket after a minor work. Working on knits is not a problem, working on a liner replacement is a...

You can get zipper at MASH Osaka, replacing it is not a big deal at all. Gladly knitted parts look very good what is also important.
