Thanks! It’s an old 1930s, square-neck resonator. It belonged to a friend’s father. When his father passed away, my friend gave the resonator to me.

It’s been colder than a well digger’s ass since before Christmas and I’ve been wearing everything from an ATF N-1 to a Reed N-3A. Today, the temperature rose above freezing for the first time in recent memory, and I happily shed my outerwear. Here I am...on my way to the post...
My ATF N-1 came just now. First, a disclaimer. I've never owned or worn an original N-1, so I can't very well comment on how "accurate" is this reproduction. I can tell you...with confidence...that this jacket is much like the other four ATF repros I own. It is a high quality, well made...
I was so fast on the trigger, I bought the second N-1 they sold. That, according to the lady who answered their telephone when I called, the other day.
I'd love to post photos of it when it arrives, but I no longer know how. I've stopped using photobucket and I can't figure out how to upload...
The jacket in your photo appears to be a N-3B. If you can post a photo of the jacket's tag, one of us may be able to tell you the exact year it was made.

I've always like varsity jackets, MA-1s and L-2Bs. I don't know why I didn't look into a tanker before now. It really is a comfortable, non-martial jacket.

Thanks! I've actually lost some weight here lately. After Christmas, I'd grown out of almost everything I owned, including my work clothing. So I went on a low carb diet and now I've shed 25 or so lbs. Made all of my jackets fit more comfortably.

I had my local seamstress shorten the sleeves on my new ATF tanker jacket. Fits much better, now. I can see that this will be a much-worn jacket come next fall. Yes, Jackie's flip flops are still on the porch, there behind me.

Thanks! Yeah, the tie is an occupational hazard, I'm afraid. I was a career prosecutor until I retired in December, 2015. Now I'm a private attorney. Most of my vintage jacket wearing has always been done over a dress shirt and a tie.
