I feel that a draw back of 5 star hides is that they tend to be too consistent, flat and lifeless in coloration, and reworking the hides is a solid option. yeah, agree with all of the above. outstanding!

I am not sure you'd be able to dye it with a lighter color using that method though ....

Maybe you need to start climbing in and out of a B-17 or P-51.

That's typical for darker pakistani leather. They seem to spray-paint the leather rather than use proper dye
