During WWII, Lufwaffe pilotes unlike U.S.A.A.F. or R.A.F. pilots did not receive flight jackets. But many adopted the 'cyclist' jacket for its tight fit, although its shoulder gussets insured a perfect freedom of movement, an ideal jacket for the smallness of their 'E.M.I.L.' cockpits...
