Aircraft transiting to Europe, Antisub, and cargo flights all staged through Goose Bay

Of course the cold was also legendary

Fantastic. Funny, I wouldn’t touch a raw sheepskin B-3, but I love B-7’s. Have to get it dirty though! Some lovely jackets there, being worn with complete disregard for their welfare, as you do when you didn’t shell out a fortune for them.

Kodachrome is great for that. The color is just as vibrant today as it was 70 years ago You feel like you were right there.
