Real McCoys ANJ-4

I just received this from Werner in Germany, a Real McCoys ANJ-4. It has the best sheepskin I’ve ever seen, a really nice yellow colour which doesn’t fully come across in the pictures. The jacket is very soft and comfortable. The trim is solid and heavyweight, in fact if it has a fault it’s that the cuffs folded back are uncomfortable against the wrists, which isn’t really a fault. It’s one size larger than I’d normally wear but I’m not likely to see another one in 44 unless I get rich or bang my head and order one direct from RMJ. Thanks to John Lever, or Control (listening to John le Carre on audiobook) for letting me know about it and following it up.

That's a great jacket!
Sleeves shouldn't be a problem as they may shorten with wearing .
You should be pleased.
Good luck with it!

Awesome find Joe! I’ve been looking for a RM for years. I had an opportunity to buy one last year, by unfortunately it was too small.

Yes it worked ! nice jacket, probably the next I'll buy (eastman or lost world)
Don’t discount Aero, I’ve had repro ANJ-4s from I think at this point all the manufacturers, and the only one I’ve kept is an Aero. I’d put them on par with Lost Worlds, their sheepskin is great.

What a contrast to the Anj 4 I have from LW. It’s a nice coat. Judging from historical photos it’s a lot off from the Dubow LW repro. I have to say it because it’s the truth. Large contrast. Totally different coats.

The Aero does look good, but I am not sure I am gonna like the side buckle.... they look very long on their pictures, ELC have a better looking IMHO. Do not know about the LW

Which one and why? I'm retiring my two original M-445's that I've worn for years. The sheepskin just keeps tearing. I'm a 44. Eastman is in stock and it's 9 degrees f here in US northeast. Lost Worlds is a few months out.

LW to me is Just bombproof. Any weather, the coat can fend for itself. I have an LW Anj4
