I did a search on this and didn't find anything so let's give it a try.(please let me know if I missed it)

Poll: If you could only have one A2
what manufacturer and contract would it be?

I'll tally the results at the end and list the all around winner. ( Who knows it might be the next new repro to be offered)

That’s a tough question . I’ll have to dig the Eastman book out. I’ve never been fortunate enough to try an original on.

Easy, as a tailor it has to be the "unmamed" 1756, by far the best cut of the lot and just about the nicest hides used by any contractor
Technically the 1938 Aero is the most impressive

They made 30,000 1401-P A2s but very few are very seen today. I always wonder if a large consignment of RW 1401s went to the bottom of the sea in 1942.

I always thought that if someone had the time and the interest, it would be interesting to research some of the torpedoed ships manefests and see what they were carrying when they went down.

I have it from a reliable source that Jimmy Stewart's 1401-P is up for grabs. Hope I haven't been misinformed. The 1401-P would certainly be my choice. In point of fact a most prepossessing A-2.

If your info is accurate on this, anyone want to venture a guess on what it would go for? $15,000 , $20,000. US?
