I am reluctantly putting up for sale this huge original Aero Leather A2. While it is obviously 80 years old it remains in good wearable condition. It has had the knits and linings tided up by our very Andrew Swattland.
The zip is the original Talon and runs without issue.
Measurements are as follows
Arm pit to Armpit 25"
Length 26"
Arm Length to end 25"
Shoulders 20"

Price wise I am looking for £975 if purchased through here plus shipping.
It is listed on evil bay for £1050
Please contact me for further details or questions.

Regards to all
Rick

I've been using both. I really like the Vaseline on the Shinki Good Wear. Pecards I like better for boots, etc. Just personal preference. Either seem to do a fine job.

Well vaseline is certainly cheap and available enough. I've never thought of using it on leather though. I will give it a try.

I did some internet searching and did fund some info on using vaseline. Some recommend it but i also saw this posted :Absolutely Do Not Use Petroleum Jelly on Any Leather Goods!!!! : As everyone has said the stuff is bad for leather and will cause it to rot eventually.:( If you guys recommend it im sure it's ok but i wonder about the dis-senting opinions.

I haven't used either Pecards or Vaseline to treat A2 jackets entirely ( I have a couple of Goodwears) or my Eastman sheepskins, but I have used both on leather goods such as luggage, camera bags and straps, my watch straps etc. This is over a period of time, and none have fallen apart yet. One is the leather valise my father had as a schoolboy in the 1920s and which later followed him around during and after World War 2, and which has had buckets of Vaseline, Pecards, neatsfoot and other stuff in its lifetime.
Given his knowledge of original jackets, their care, restoration and maintenance, and of new ones, I'm inclined to think that John Chapman knows his stuff.

Received the Jacket today--it was packaged extremely well. This was a thrill--my first time ever holding/touching a original. I do have a eastman and goodwear Rough wear contract jackets but this is special.
