Hi, anyone been to the eastman pop up shop this year? We went on Friday and it was nice to see all the stock in one place ,ended up ordering an m-422a as they had sold out of my size. Something to look forward to in the coming weeks. Overall a nice day out, went to the south bank , visited a few pubs and had something to eat .

I went on the first day. Nice to see the guys, I did not buy anything but tried on a few... found myself craving a rough wear A-2. I may visit again this week.

If you order something in-store at the pop up shop, are they still quoting the 12 week lead time?

I had a wander along on Saturday and was most impressed. Fortunately the mahoosively high prices prohibited a purchase although I did finally get to see a Demotex N-1 in the flesh, if they'd had my size I'd have taken a punt.

There is an amazing looking A-2 on display behind the counter, sure it was patched, the leather looked the business, not unlike JC's more recent offerings.

In all a really great idea by Gary, I'm glad I made the trip. There clearly has to be a fair few staff on duty in case of shoplifters however being followed at every turn was a little over cautious

Gary said that they could make the m422a and I could come back to the shop next week to pick it up. I don’t know if they had some at the factory or indeed were going to make one , anyway I opted to have it sent to me at my home to save the bother of carrying it around London as we usually make a day of it when we go there .time will tell!

Anyone making a special trip to London then I'd recommend also jumping on the tube to Covent Garden and check out both American Classics and The Real McCoys, both quite close to each other and although AC's sells ELC jackets, there's a lot of nice things in both but beware, not cheap as you might expect!

This is sound advice!

Ps....if you do go to AC's ask for Ben, a member (Chamboid) here! Also you'll need a mortgage to buy an A2 at RM's - £1795, so might be worth checking their website first unless you're flush with cash!!

Thank you Mikey
I got the meaning from the original post.

Interesting term.
"SEPTICS"

We have a number of similar terms here in the US which are also used by individuals of low intellect, to describe various groups of people and nationalities.
None of worth mentioning here of course, as we're all friends.
Cheers guys;)

Back home in the Antipodes it's not entirely uncommon either - no doubt brought over by ex-pats and all the multitudes of Kiwis and Aussies who go and live in London for a few years after school/uni. Sherman(s) is another one you hear back home occasionally as well.
