Need Help Id'ing this Vintage Motorcycle Jacket

Found in a thrift shop in Northern California. Thick, heavy leather with nylon lining. The only tag is a brown leather tab on the inner pocket that indicates it is a size 36. Jacket has older, heavy brass YKK zippers and RAU snaps. Any ideas on the maker? Thanks!

Very nicely made, I very much doubt if it's any earlier that late 80's, the lack of a label and the "home made" size tag suggests it's the work of a very small producer, I've never seen one before (and I've seen plenty) so I can't help ID the maker, I feel you'll need to be very lucky to find out

I have an extremely similar jacket - from the front the style looks identical. My boyfriend says mine is an old CHP jacket, probably from the 50s or 60s, horsehide, much more worn than yours is. It's been relined, the pockets are a light colored cloth and the jacket lining is black nylon. The main other difference is that there is no inner pocket, and there is no kidney panel in the back.
